Thanks Ashley and Pat! I'd have remarked on your site, but that requires a $35 membership and registering. Not my style or financial ability.

As always, love your site. My first port of call  with the morning coffee every day. Your photos are always professional magazine quality, and show an understanding and appreciation of what you have in front of you, . Your writing is engaging, and enthusiastic. In fact you just come across as a nice guy doing something he loves. Thanks for taking the time to share it all.
Cheers,
Iain Campbell

The other compliment I got this week? that my blog is old and respected... now that is nice too, but it also sounds like a reference to a 100 year old art deco building

That dash in your header is super cool.

For the Thursday Drive-By this week, we’re traveling around the blogosphere in search of entertaining and informative car stories. From vintage photos by Hemmings and Stylish Kustoms, to salvage cars at Amos Auto Enthusiast, there is a whole world of cool stuff out there just waiting to be discovered. Here are five links that you should check out when you have a few extra minutes. Oh, and tell ‘em Hover Motor Company sent ya’

You know one of my favorite things to do here is visit a local car show and post pictures from it. Well, there are other blogs out there that do more-or-less the same thing. One of those is Just a Car Guy, where you’ll find a variety of automotive stories and pictures. The latest coverage is from the Temecula Rod Run in Temecula, Calif. As I look at the Auburn Speedster and the various hot rods in this photo set, it really gets me in the mood for the upcoming car show season here in Kansas City.

I looked up the author of this blog,  Craig Hover, he is the Kansas City Automotive Examiner author, and  promoter of I-70 Speedway, and worked at Heartland Park Topeka and Lakeside Speedway. Craig has been an ISCA judge, an editor for several automotive publications, and an analyst for The Automobile Red Book.

hough it is a similar name and acronym to the above auto blog, (Justacargeek) the Just A Car Guy blog is very different, yet equally awesome. This car blog is like a massive museum of fascinating mechanical greatness. I can’t even begin to imagine where Jesse finds the photography that he posts up, but it is an endless supply of everything that you have ever wanted to stare at (okay, almost everything). There are beautiful photos of classic motorcycles, hotrods, trains, planes and just plain everything with wheels. Jesse also often has fresh pictures from major gearhead events that you can only dream of attending. That means that like me, you can live vicariously through him and his photography. Does life get any better? Unlikely. Be sure to click through the different categories on the right side of the Just A Car Guy Blog page. Be careful though, I have been known to get sucked in deep and lose multiple hours at a time. It’s addictive! Go there now. Thank me later.
