why not use that useless jack for a garage lamp, because it won't do anything good under the car when you need to switch tires. These small jacks are dangerously tippy

A whole gallery of them on a Romanian website devoted to all things made for SteamPunk... great site http://steampunker.ru/blog/interior_design/6914.html

Brass guns, top hats, and goggles... right on.

Why am I posting about non vehicular movies? It's goofy fun gearhead maker stuff. Or, as Maria May Jespy-Worthing put it:

Steampunk

We are explorers moved a hundred years
That hail from times of steam and shiny cogs
Some of us wear a thousand useless gears
Or goggles, some sort of industr’ial togs
I must admit we do enjoy ourselves
Our worlds of tea and airship piracy
We must have Wells and Verne upon our shelves
To guide us through the darkest æther seas
Although we’re from a time that never was
We feel at home there as we never have
And you may scoff and giggle at our cause—
We know how much discovery can move.
So do not mock the steampunks if you’re wise—
We’ve rayguns and brass cybertronic eyes.

any movie with a motorwheel can't be bad. A steam powered one is even better.

Good kid has a runn in with the bad guys trying to steal the plans and prototype his inventor dad and grand dad sent him, and the kid tries to escape, using that motorwheel, gets chased to a locomotive, which gets attacked by a blimp ...

later the bad guys send out an army of armored soldiers, and this aeronaut
who all are engaging in a war with the british who have these cool old tanks. The time frame is Victorian, and before any vehicles but the trains and tanks.
